I am Edel, a qualified Guidance Counsellor and Career Coach with more than 20 years’ of experience working in business and as a school guidance counsellor. My qualifications coupled with my work experience in education, coaching, recruitment and selection provide me with a unique insight into the current employment landscape, and workforce culture, nationally and internationally.

A Fellow of the ERF, I have over a decade of work experience in recruitment and selection, career and interview coaching, sales, and people management. I have recruited and coached thousands of clients from CEO level to graduates embarking on their career journey, career changers and parents returning to work after maternity leave. My extensive experience has enabled me to work with people from a range of diverse backgrounds at national and global levels and spans a broad spectrum of industries including manufacturing, pharma, construction, engineering, not-for-profit, medical, retail and finance. I have worked with global and multinational companies, SMEs, public bodies and start-ups. I currently manage the Recruitment Strategy internationally within the technology sector for an Irish-based company.

My experience has led me to work with some of Ireland’s leading Universities. I have hosted career workshops for graduates and Master's students at Maynooth University and had the privilege of working with some of the brightest minds in the industry from DCU, Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and Clongowes Wood College in Kildare.

As a mother and an experienced School Guidance Counsellor, I personally understand the importance of supporting children with academic and career decisions. I am fully qualified to carry out a range of interest, psychometric and ability assessments.
